The day proved to be a huge success with lots of money raised for both Nightingale House and for Shooting Stars.....the day organised by Emily, Tomos and Ryan (and others!) in memory of James was busy all day...lot`s of stalls with the burger bar and cake stall a particular success. The u9`s started the cricket, followed by u11`s and finishing with a mixed u13/15 game. In between a `Tomos team` was narrowly beaten by `Ryan`s team`.....the quality of the cricket was very mixed.
Thanks to all who joined in, all who helped, the sponsors of the raffle and to all who attended.
The fundraising hasn`t ended....the picture shows Jacob ...James` grandson...with a signed bat donated by David Lloyd (ex Glamorgan, now captain of Derbyshire and Jacob`s `uncle).
This bat is part of a `blind auction` running until the end of the cricket season (Sept 17th)....offers can be put in envelops at the remaining games or can be sent by text to 07545759794 ( all will be treated anonymously)
