Its September 2024 already and the ultimate action of the season for the ladies' teams were to enter the Barrow CC softball festival. Teams who play regularly in the Cheshire women's league were tough opponents, but this served to demonstrate just how far this group of players had come this season as they matched them in every discipline of the game. Everyone was there to compete and have fun, which they did.

We received lots of compliments on the way we played our games and the cricket technique show by our players. GCC teams won two matches each in the group stages narrowly missed a finals spot. This meant that the two GCC teams played against each other for third and fourth places. Anyway, moving swiftly on a great afternoon was had by all!!

Barrow CC were excellent hosts and our thanks to them for putting on a terrific event.
